Phones
Data-recovery assessment for supported phones that are damaged, non-working or unable to boot normally.
If the photos, files or other data matter more than getting the device back into everyday use, tell us at intake. Data-recovery cases are assessed individually.

Data recovery isn't the same as an ordinary repair. Sometimes the goal is simply to make a damaged device functional enough to access the data safely.

Supported tablet cases where access to photos, documents or other important data is the priority.
MacBook and computer cases where files or user data need to be considered as part of the repair pathway.
Board-level diagnosis may be used when a device must first be made functional enough to access its data.
Corrosion and liquid damage can complicate recovery. The device is assessed before a recovery path is proposed.
Where appropriate, component-level repair can form part of an attempt to regain access to the data.
Explore board-level repair →The best pathway depends on your objective. Let us know at intake if the data is irreplaceable or more important than returning the device to normal use.
Recovery success depends on the device, the damage and the condition of the storage and surrounding circuitry. We don't promise an outcome before diagnosis.
At intake, explain what data matters and whether the device itself also needs to remain usable.
We establish the fault and whether a practical data-recovery pathway exists.
We explain the proposed work before proceeding with further repair or recovery steps.
Recovered data is provided through an agreed method such as iCloud, USB storage or another agreed option.
We only access what is reasonably necessary to perform the agreed testing, repair or recovery. We don't routinely browse personal content, and we don't keep copies of recovered customer data as a normal practice.
Some cases are straightforward; others require substantial diagnosis or board-level work. An unsuccessful data-recovery attempt still carries the applicable minimum assessment charge.
The minimum charge for an unsuccessful data-recovery case is $89. Any further proposed work is discussed before proceeding.
No. Recovery depends on the type and extent of damage. We assess the case and explain the available pathway without promising a result in advance.
No retained copy is part of our normal data-recovery process. Data is delivered using the agreed method for the job.
If the device has significant physical or liquid damage and the data is important, stop experimenting with it and bring it in for assessment.
Any advertised data-recovery job can start at an open IPG store. Specialist cases are handled internally. Geelong West is currently temporarily closed.
